Additional information about boarding your pet at Stillhouse Luxury Pet Hotel.
What makes ShLPH different from other boarding facilities?
ShLPH was designed from the ground up, exclusively for your beloved pet family member. Our design and services are what you would expect to find in a premier boarding hotel.
How much does it cost to board my pet?
The cost to board your dog(s) depends on room size, applicable discounts and the length of stay. Please see Accommodations and Rates page.
How far in advance should I call to make a reservation?
As our rooms are in high demand, we suggest placing reservations as far in advance as possible. See Lead Times page.
Can I tour your facility?
Tours are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Lobby is closed for tours on Sundays and major holidays.
What are your hours?
ALL check ins, check outs and tours are scheduled by appointment only. Appointment times for check in and check out are generally limited to M-F, 9a-5:30p; and Sat, 9a-noon.
Do we have to bring our own bed?
ShLPH provide off ground cot type beds. If you would like to bring a small blanket, towel or clothing item to provide "smells from home", you may do so. Any blankets/towels that are shredded by your pet will be removed.
Can I bring my own dog food?
To prevent stomach upsets, you are encouraged to bring your dog's food. If treats are provided at home, you are welcome to bring those too! The food may be individually packaged by portion or, if more convenient, bring the bag and the scoop! Please bring only enough for the pet's stay. If owner does not supply food, we will at an additional charge.
Am I required to have my pet spayed or neutered prior to boarding?
ShLPH does not require that your pet be spayed or neutered prior to boarding. However, we do not board females that are in active heat.
How many times a day does my dog get out of the room to play?
Each dog room has access to an individual yard. Included with the nightly rate are two trips per day to any one of our ten secure and shaded play yards (weather permitting).
Do I provide my dog bowls?
You do not have to provide bowls. We use stainless steel for both food and water. If your pet has a special feeder (i.e. raised, maze or puzzle feeder), you are encouraged to bring it.
Does my pet have to wear a name tag?
It is not required, but we encourage that your pet wear a collar or harness with nametag. If your dog normally wears a choke chain with tags, please be sure to move tags onto a flat nylon or leather collar before arrival. Choke chains, prong collars and harnesses are removed when your pet is in the room.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Deposits are required to secure a room. The amount of the deposit will vary depending on whether the stay falls in a Non-Peak or Peak boarding period. We will waive deposits for those clients who qualify for our Frequent Boarder Loyalty Program
Can I bring my dogs toys?
You can bring 2-3 chew toys (Nylabone, antler, Kong or similar) per pet. If stuffed toys or cloth type toys become torn and/or shredded, they will be removed. No balls smaller than a softball. No rawhides.
Are vaccines required?
Vaccinations are required for your pet's protection. See Vaccinations page for requirements.
What do you do in case of an emergency?
In case of emergency, we reach out to the pet owner. If the owner is not available, we contact the designated person and/or vet listed in your file. If the designated contact and/or vet are not available, we contact the closest vet able to take an emergency (Stagecoach, Pet Medical Center, Belton Vet Clinic... etc). Our "litmus test" for deciding if a pet needs to see the vet is "We would take our own pet to the vet for this".
Do you offer Doggie Day Care?
We do not offer regular Doggie Day Care services. We do charge a Day Care Fee for any check ins and check outs that are scheduled outside of the nightly rate. This fee is only applied for pets wishing to check in early (before noon) and check out late (after noon).
Flea Treatment
All pets should be free of fleas. Pets showing signs of fleas with be given Capstar and/or flea bath. Capstar is a non-toxic fast-acting flea adulticide. Flea treatment is at owners expense.
